Have you used these beans for espresso as the roaster recommends them for filter? I’m getting fed up with thin turbo shots and feel like some proper gloop for a change 😆

Coffee Compass for decent med dark/dark roasts! I usually buy their espresso selection, 3 × 500g bags.

Malabar hit and Jampit hit are my current favourites, but sweet bourbon is also great. Tbh all I’ve tried have been decent, I stick to the espresso blends.

I don’t take a lot of notice of what brew method is recommended 🤔🫣

I don’t do anything other than espresso based milk drinks for me. I guess mine are somewhere between latte and flat white.

Had several kg of this now and like it i dont tend to like darker or “Italian ” blend though and have been trying to drink espresso shots of medium and lighter roasts . I like what i like the taste of so tend to go for what i like the sound of, not necessarily because it says “for espresso” etc. one day i may come to appreciate straight espresso, but i have some way to go yet …..

I found that often the best coffees I have is when the roaster described as not suitable for espresso - which I think it’s total nonsense in this day and age.

I drink almost exclusively espresso or topped up with the same quantity of water.

I never buy any beans that are labelled as for espresso.

Not yet, but it seems likely there will be a 25% discount later next week. May be useful to devise a game plan.

Also, craft house coffee still be discounting on Thursday 28th. In the past it has been about the 30% mark, and a better discount on the Thursday than Friday onwards
