Thanks, Adrian, that is incredibly helpful! My Vostok doesn’t have the safety system, so maybe I can still lube the lower pistons without removing the screws?

Anyway, I just ordered Molykote 111 and will plan to look at this in about 6 months. I do think the machine can benefit from lubing the joysticks immediately, because they are surprisingly tight from the factory.

After further research, there is an “ACS Espresso Official” channel on YouTube where they’ve started posting some maintenance videos, like how to backflush the lever and how to take apart the lever. I hope they continue posting more videos for owners.

You may have a gu10 type spring clip shower screen holder but i prefer the stainless circlip.

Adrianmsmith May I ask how to remove the spring clip to clean the shower screen? I don’t have the circlip, but something that looks like the spring used in a portafilter to hold the basket. Is it as simple as compressing and pulling it down with the shower screen? I don’t want to damage the head!

Adrianmsmith I’ve spent the last ouppe of hours on you tube looking at the ACS, Vostok is a beauty but too big. Do like the Leva 2 especially with the vent option. 😉

Jason1wood The good news is there is usually a lead in period between ordering and delivery. I believe payments are or were staged, perhaps someone who has recently ordered can confirm

Fantastically priced machine for what you get. If you could turn value for money on it’s head…they achieved it at Londinium.

DavecUK But in fairness, in the old days pre Evo Leva, a combination of having a forum like CFUK that allowed the shameless commercialism where a lot of the better known ‘folks’ made a fortune from it. Londinium was placed on a pedestal, starting with Glenn the owner. They could do no wrong plus there was very little opposition in reality. Now that there is, who in their right mind buys something that has not kept up with the requirements of time. They cannot claim the ‘traditional’ mantle as they run an app with pre-infusion. Now that the relationship between their chief UK protagonist (hi Dave, Seasons Greetings matey) seems to have broken down they are not represented commercially in the UK anyway. Their own forum is just full of nodding dogs wshing to pay homage to the alter that once was Reiss. Perhaps they will surprise us all and bring something new to the market…..ooppss, they tried that with the Vectis which was so thoroughly tested before entering the market the claim on their blog was the Vectis is the finished product, the Vectis will never be changed or improved…….LOL. That claim was soon removed from their blog but never mind. They only preach to their acolytes and they will not care

Just had email back. The Vostock is only a couple more hundred € than the leva 2. May have to keep it as stock as stretching my budget as it is.

Anyone know what delivery to UK would be??

Also do I need the flush and safety system on the Vostock?

I think the flush system is almost essential, the safety system you could give a swerve and save some money.

Haven’t even measured the space I have available yet but sure her indoors can move one of her non essential kitchen appliances 🤣🤣🤣
