Raja123 Patrick yes, went with that as I can match that to two different rooms (if I decide to move it at any point). I’m told it will take approximately 3-4 weeks to ship from ACS, so I’d anticipate it’ll be in Jan (giving some leeway). Now I need to get a coffee bar of some kind, heh.

Raja123 Thanks for the link. Checked it out. Not a bad price considering it’s (I think) solid oak. I need something a bit more contemporary (due to interior design). If the mid-rack was solid drawers, it’d possibly work. They have a couple of colored ones also.

Adrianmsmith Raja123 Sounds great. Did you order the “safety system” / is that standard fit now or extra on the vostok?
Raja123 Adrianmsmith yes, I went with all of the options, barring the fork handle for the lever. Figured I could always add that later if needed. The safety system is an optional extra; it costs 245 euros to buy with the machine. Flush lever is 77 euros. Needless excess, I know (dont look at the price). I’m thinking of getting a set as statement trinkets for the bar. Adrianmsmith Raja123 they really do look nice 🥰 Not sure of value , re :taste difference in the cup 🤪 I do like the look of the fork handle lever!!
Amberale Adrianmsmith The fork handle does look good but what I like about it is that it makes it easier to be secure while pulling a shot. I put two or three fingers from each hand in the handle and pull out/down then hold for 10 seconds to preinfuse before releasing. This is stable and balanced.
Raja123 I decided against the fork handle for now, for two reasons: I cannot unsee the fork handle vibe….I know it’s a subjective thing at that level. My Strietman CT2 also has a normal handle, which I apply upwards of 9 bar of pressure with manually. I figured I should be able to handle the default Vostok lever for now. As I age, if I get to a point where pulling the lever becomes too difficult, the fork handle may be deployed..lol

Raja123 Yes, it’s good to do some resistance work. I have a manual lever machine to help with that somewhat. But, one should have a good exercise routine for that, really. I work from home, and I like good food, so regular exercise is a part of my life.
