@DavecUK I checked in on this thread, just to see how the ongoing testing of the Gorilla burrs were coming along, thanks to the kind efforts and information sharing of tompoland and Grahamsphillips .
What I instead saw was a lot of gripping, whining and inappropriate language by a certain coffee luminary who not too long ago joined this forum, followed by an equally foul argument between him and another forum member.
I joined and continue to frequent this Forum because it is indeed the “worlds friendliest coffee forum”, unlike some other forums. It is great to be able to have pleasant conversations around coffee, and receive helpful advice (and be helpful to others). It is great that no question is perceived to be too basic or simple, and that members are not criticized just for asking. I like the absence of egotistical attitudes. I like how members are generally respectful of each other’s opinions and are considerate and polite when they disagree or offer constructive criticism. The diametric opposite of these positive things may be acceptable in the USA, but not on this Forum.
@DavecUK You may need to begin enforce a set of rules about how people conduct themselves on this Forum, and take appropriate action if that member flouts these basic rules of decent human interaction frequently, irrespective of their stature in the industry.
@DavecUK Feel free to PM me about this.
Now back to more interesting topics like the impacts of Gorilla Burrs on taste.
