1zpresso K Max grind changing

I have made sure it’s calibrated correctly as per manufacturer’s instructions (burrs touching at 0) but on each shot ground, the calibration seems to get knocked out. I grind 18g for a shot, check after the shot is complete and the calibration for 0 is knocked out by a click, sometimes 2 clicks.

Has anyone experienced this, or heard of this happening? Is there something else that needs to be checked in order to prevent this?

DrForinor - no idea how the mechanism/calibration works in this grinder.

Are they off by 2 clicks coarser or finer? If the former, it can be that you now have grinds in between the burrs, whereas, presumably your burrs were clean when you calibrated it.

If I am at say 20 clicks, to get back to burrs touching I end up going back 21 or 22 clicks, so I suppose that would be they are off 1-2 clicks coarser?

This pretty much happens each time, what would be the best way to avoid this in future? Or is this then normal?
