Yeah exactly the same regardless of the brand, I just think at this price point niggles shouldn’t exist in terms of quality of finish, structural integrity etc.
I think excusable ‘quirks’ are the ones that are inherent to a function something is trying to achieve and common across products. The very slight retention of all grinders even the ones marketed as ‘zero retention’, the quirks of the E61 design, the noise of a high speed motor etc etc.
But construction niggles like thin sheet metals, rough edges, badly aligned parts, improper balancing or weight, those are the things I think should be non-existent on anything at a premium price point.
Again to use the watch analogy, even watches costing tens of thousands will drift a little each day, but every aspect of the physical craftsmanship will (hopefully!) be completely flawless.
