MattH I did not think he did - just used the espresso ones for both I thought.
He did, but he actually did say:
- There’s no such thing as espresso coffee
- There’s no such thing as espresso burrs (?)
- espresso burrs can do espresso and filter (true, but not great for filter)
- Filter burrs can do espresso (false)
Watch from around this timecode 30s.
tompoland fair nuff. Each to his own. At the end of the day only he knows what he likes.
Unfortunately, he doesn’t really have that luxury, as he is “supposed” to be “informing” the masses. espresso has a definition and whatever can be made with filter burrs in no way meets that definition, or the general understanding people might have who are less informed. It should be very important as an “influencer” to not mislead people, even if it is accidental, or based around personal preference.
I could take a Wilfa Svart and say it’s a fantastic espresso grinder…without mentioning that it was a 30g gusher produced at 3 bar in 15s. Even if I did mention it…I’m basically pouring crap for most people except perhaps me.
