This type of tool should offer more consistency since the needles travel the same route every time, at the same depth. I don’t see them as game changers but I like trying new stuff. And if the moonraker makes it easier to achieve consistency then I’ll no doubt keep them. A 5% improvement here, 5% there … no biggie in isolation but put them altogether and for me, it’s worth it.
Someone from Coffee Snobs in Australia has sent me another 3D printed version to test. That one is freely available if you know someone with a 3D printer.
Once the Moonrakers arrive in July I’ll compare the three versions and post impressions.
