Cuprajake
Cuprajake is there any reason you dont go into the dosing cup?
We’ll give it a go again.
When I initially acquired my NZ, I tried grinding into the cup and found that grinds would adhere to the cup, requiring effort to get them out. I also noticed some clumping in the cup. This was likely due to static, but the static did not dissipate soon enough (I lost patience), so I went back to grinding directly into the basket.
I also found (initially and later) that dosing closer to the output chute produced less clumping than further, as well as better / more even distribution and less channeling. And that the less the grounds are handled/transferred the better. Hence my “basket and dosing collar on a wood block” approach.
But there is workflow benefit to dosing into the cup, so I’ll give it another try, in combo with the WDT spirograph and the puck screen.
And yes, you and many others successfully use the cup, so its definitely worth revisiting.
