I have noticed a squeal from my bianca when I use low flow start (which I rarely use). It sounds a bit like a steam-train whistle and is worse when the machine is cold.
It only does this with low flow start; pre-infusion, paddle manipulation and low flow final are all quiet.
Do other people get this, is it normal?

james65477564 I had the V3 about 14 months before it was released on sale to the general public. There was apparently a slight issue with the preinfusion and low flow system. Mine never gave me any trouble, and still hasn’t. I am wondering they must have had some trouble with early units, as they sent me a complete valve system (pipes, solenoids, one way valves etc.. all assembled together as a drop in replacement)?
As I still don’t have a problem, I never bothered to change it. One time though, after not using the machine for a while it did make an odd squeal from the low flow section, BUT, I had not used my machine for many months and it had probably dried out/got air in the system.
I think if you rarely use low flow start, that might be the issue. It’s such a good function that I use it a LOT. In fact I use the paddle much less. I set the machine to give the max pressure I want and then use low flow start and sometimes a low flow finish to have an “automatically profiled shot”. I keep meaning to do a video about how I use my V3. Along with how to I set up a new machine in terms of parameters…just have not had the time to do it. I have a Black V3 Bianca, which I want to do that set up video on.

Interestingly I went to record it and it wont do it, hot or cold. Perhaps it was just lack of use although I have only had the machine for a month so playing with the paddle was taking priority!
Yes- this has started happening to me. Bianca v3, 6 months old, using low flow (as of about 1 month). Happens maybe 50% of the time, no idea what is going on. Did you ever find a resolution?
dacaffine I switched to a decent so dont have a long term view. However, I dont recall it doing this as long as I used low flow regularly.
any update to this problem? literally It just happened to me for the first time. I have the Bianca v3 purchased in June 2024. Every time I pull a shot now, at the end of pre-infusion I get a loud train whistle. I been using the same profile for months (Pre Infusion, Low flow)
