Selling my 2012 Gaggia Classic as I have other machines and it is not getting any use.
When I got it it was stripped, refurbished and rebuilt it with new seals, there was no scale. This was to be a keeper, I have not used it much, used while travelling but I have a Silvia for that now and I have another machine as my ‘daily driver’.
This machine has pretty much every recommended modification going.
Details;
1300W boiler.
Brushed Stainless steel case, good condition, light scratching only commensurate with its age.
Larger three way solenoid valve, less prone to blockages.
Rex C100 PID serving brew only, (The steam SSR and wiring are there but not connected as I can’t find the menu to change the alarm behaviour settings), steam works via thermostat.
More accurate PT100 thermocouple.
Brass dispersion plate.
OPV adjusted to 9.5 bar.
IMS GA200IM shower screen.
Rancilio V1/2 steam wand.
Cafelat silicone gasket.
Cup warming plate reversed to present a pristine non-scratched surface.
Steam valve has been dismantled and cleaned, a thread has been cut and a new nut added to prevent it being completely unscrewed by accident. I also have a steam valve that has been modified to use a viton tipped needle to seal it, it seems to work well but has not been proven in the long term, I can replace the steam valve with this one if you wish.
Twin spout portafilter with a standard double and a La Marzocco triple basket. Can’t find a single basket but who uses those?
Aluminium dosing ring.
One of the feet was missing when I got the machine, it has been replaced by a rubber spacer.
I am asking £330 for it plus £15 postage, or you could pick it up here just west of Oswestry if you are local, or meet if not too far. If it doesn’t sell by the time I get a reduced fees ebay offer, it will go on ebay.
