@dfk41 Iāve got a Decent Filter 3 basket running on my own profile for filter. I use 18āÆg of coffee to about 260āÆg of water, which reliably gives me around 200āÆg in the cup. Itās easy, consistent and repeatable ā very much in the same league as the Aromaboy with its 24āÆg and 330āÆg recipe. Honestly, the Switch, the Boy and the Decent Filter may be so close that in a blind tasting at 12% 400āÆKruve (#32 grind size on the Duo), I doubt I could pick them apart without divine intervention.
Iāve brewed 225āÆ bags on the Switch with a subjective score of 7.49/9 and a stdev of 0.63. The Aromaboy sits at 7.4/9 after 50 bags, stdev 0.64. The Decent Filter 3 is still early days ā only 12 bags so far ā scoring 7.2 with a 0.53 stdev, so strictly speaking itās not comparable yet. The sample size is so small it might as well be a polite suggestion rather than data.
Do I have a preference? In practice, I always reach for the Switch because I make two cups every morning and itās proven itself beyond doubt. Iām not a fan of the Aromaboy unless Iām doing a full mug (24āÆg/330āÆg). For a single cup, I use Filter 3 as donāt need to do anything. And, I havenāt had time to push Filter 3 basket for two cups ā its capacity seems limited IMO, and Iām not sureĀ it can comfortably hold more than about 60ā65āÆg of water plus 36āÆg of coffee.
