Guys, I feel a little bad now for bringing this up because it should not cause this amount of worry.
I was on day 1 of a 1 kilo bag of rested fresh beans and observations were over days 2, 3, 4 where things are most stable with the beans And therefore I was not making adjustments between shots.
I am not sure I would go so far as to call this a fault . due to the situation with my leg I am a little bit slow at the moment and normally would have investigated if even a little bit of Molly would actually solve the situation.
When I try that I will report back. I have still not swapped back to stepped adjustment.
Another thought, let’s be clear here. There was no actual requirement to change to stepless. The difference between steps using my Evo are at best guess in the range of 5 or 6 seconds maximum. So I could have adjusted my short weight by one bean or so to get the same results 😎
This is still the best grinder I have had.
I still have the duo as well so let’s be clear we are not talking night on day. We are talking very slight differences and personal preferences. I will therefore not even say it is better than the duo, but I would not say the duo is better than the philos. Differences at this price point are extremely personal.
@Platypus If you are still at the point where you are considering buying one, just do it. I promise you will not regret it.
