It’s tricky, there are often stonking used deals on here…especially from people who can’t stop buying grinders!

The only one i regret buying so far (disregarding the sage smart grinder poo) was the DF83ii which, calling it pants was derogatory to said pants!!

The df83?? Im told the v is much better but ive lost all interest in df after that episode of my grinding life!!

Due to a quirk of buying prior to bella barista pulling the plug on being able to buy direct at least financially it was a good buy and the only thing ive not lost money on, even though the buyer also saved a wad !!!

Not really read the thread, but I did wonder what costs would be cut to get a grinder the right side of a grand.

Double sided tape isn’t the best, should of used a magnet 😂

Forgot the dose finisher existed… never used it!

The 200 burrs are so good. I’m still regularly impressed by how well they grind both filter and espresso. It’s like there’s no compromise, it does both really well.

Has anyone successfully fitted the i200 burrs to other grinders yet? Not that I want to but to me that’s a big selling point of the Philos, it allows you to use these burrs in the grinder they were designed to be used in.

HarveyMushman mi idea is to fit them in my Super Jolly, it shouldn’t be any problem I imagine.

Strange that. I remembered it’s existence when i took the front off when i was thinking,

how good is the double sided tape on mine.

Anyway after ruining my perfect finger nails trying to pull off the facia i gave up .

It seems like i won’t be needing the “sticks like shit” just yet!

Thought id check in case any potential buyers asked. 🤭

When you do please report the differences. Its to do with the size or section thickness of the centre hole i believe

If anyone is interested I’ve got two ‘project’ lids which I’m happy to sell on. They are far from perfect and ideally for someone who wants to finish them off or is not bothered with fine details. I’d like £11 posted for each of them.

Both are perfect fit and come with glass like Perspex inserts. One made of wood and the other is silicone but vinyl wrapped in black (poorly). In the wooden one the insert can be removed easily if someone want to sand it down/varnish whatever.

I sold the Duo BUT im considering using the Key for my wife’s decaf so lets see!!.

@Raja123 has loaned me some ssp to try in the philos, arriving today, as im interested to see how they compare to the 2 sets of mazzer burrs i have.

Depending on how that goes i still may be selling if my wife likes the Key. Obviously i like the Flat Max (even if i didnt!!).

Let us know how the SSP burrs go.

I’ve no interest in changing as I really like the I200 burrs but I’m more curious as to whether other burrs work well in them.

Adrianmsmith no hurry mate. Just watched a video this morning with the philos and the SSP burrs, I usually drink Medium dark roast so no notable changed to the 189 burrs but apparently the 200 style give more.
