This isn’t a rant!! I’m happy without it and zero is close enough to argue about, on the fixed scale.
As my zero indicator ring was already floating around and luckily not marked anything I never fitted it.
The grub screw doesn’t look , let’s say, ideal, but I guess if it tightens the collar firmly it will do for the job . And once you have done that there’s no going back as it will have an indent mark.
I’ve not even tried the grug screw to see if the threads are sound as I did see another post saying not. If I ever decide to use mine I will most likely tap it out a bit bigger and use a different grub screw or most likely a thumb screw.
My only mark is at the end of the chute, with a little piece of costing missing. Happened whilst wiping with microfiber cloth only😎
