MuddyOne - in the instructions it says clearly to fit the lever at the 45 degree position - Dave shows that in the video too (between 1m50s and 2m20s). It also makes references to the position of the lobe - looking at your picture (unless I am overlooking something) it doesn’t look the same. It feels to me, put simply, yours is upside down (I.e: turn 180 degrees - but hard to tell. If I had an e61 machine I’d take a picture for you).
In the instructions I linked (same instructor, mind) it clearly reads in large sized font, in red, under the “2 important tips”: “simply fit the lever temporarily, this will help you to “wiggle the cam into place” with the lever in the “halfway” or 45 degree position..”

I really don’t know what else to say. At this point, there’s not much else I can do to help. Maybe someone else can take over from here as I don’t even have an E61 machine anymore.
