I know this'll not matter to a lot of you or you may say not needed, but noticed today while dialing in my grinder, I wasted a lot of time weighing beans. I'd prefer to weight a portion out when I had time and store for a day while dialing in or making a few coffees. Do like the look of the wooden stands and test tubes. But not paying Webbers silly prices. Anyone have a decent link to correct sizes for 18g of beans as keep seeing numerous sized tubes and unsure of what would suit me best 🙏

Defiantly not the prettiest option….. but 50ml Falcon tubes hold 18-20g pretty snugly.

I’ve got a few of the Commandante bean jars although I stopped weighing out doses when I started having a few different coffees in rotation. I tend to just weigh from the bag when I’m making coffee now. One nice feature of the Philos with the little ‘gate’ on the hopper is that you can weigh out a dose, drop it in the hopper and open the gate, then close it and drop a second dose in so you can weigh out two coffees before you start grinding and the second dose is ready to grind. Handy if you’re making more than one coffee.

You could cut holes into a piece of wood to hold the bottles.
They are a good size, I’ve got loads of them and have repurposed them as coffee storage

I used to single dose, till the Weber dosing tubes I had broke the seals.

For me, it takes 30s to weigh the beans, I can deal with that.

I have airscape but I keep a few days worth of the Mrs beans in there. My beans are just in the bags sealed and I pick and choose.

Cuprajake going from my dual boiler and mythos to Gaggia and DF64, everything seems to take an age.

Loved the fact the Mythos was timed dose so didn’t have the faff of weighing beans

I bought some from Etsy for about £20 including stand and funnel. I only do a day’s worth the night before to save time the next day so wanted something cheap to see how I got on with them. I can’t find the link now but if you search bean cellar on Etsy you’ll probably find several.
