Well, my son came around and helped me put the Mythos back together. This comprised of fitting the clump crusher which was too fiddly for my sausage like fingers. Then screwing the top and bottom burrs back onto their carriers. Fitting the bottom carrier then the auger, then the bell housing with the top burr.
To get to this point, I had to remove the smell of WD40 from everything. I dropped the three parts affected into Isapropanol for a couple of hours then on the recommendation of @Elcarajillo I made up a solution of boiling water and Cafiza and steeped after a good scrubbing. Then a mild solution of washing up liquid followed by more scrubbing and cleaned with cold water. Patted dry then into the air fryer for 8 minutes at 80 degrees. Then overnight in a wire basket to lose any odours, resulting in nice non smelling burrs!
All put back together now but I simply cannot be arsed to try it out, so we will save that for tomorrow. I am arguing with the chap on Ebay about the ‘Original spare part’ burrs
. It seems once reported they give you a 4 day window in which to resolve or they step in.
If tomorrow comes and I cannot get it to work correctly, and there is no reason why it should not, then it will go in the garage or to a new owner with more skill sets than I!
