headstar Jcheney , you might be right that changing black to black makes not much sense. The upgrade kit was coming with matching portafilters and legs (which maybe I will try to adapt for Mara). It’s all cosmetics rather, and If I ever plan to switch to Bianca I will have the set ready 😎
limelight Thomas101 very nice! I have the exact same setup now since I ditched my Sette grinder when the Niche came in a few weeks ago.
Thomas101 EddieT What are you coming from? Nespresso… So it is very different - just starting to learn
limelight Here is my updated setup. In addition to the Niche, I really enjoy the consistency from the Normcore V4 tamper along with the cleanliness that the Normcore 58.5mm puck screen provides. The Lunar 2021 scale is overkill for me as I don’t use all the features but it has a nice size and aesthetic paired with the Elizabeth.
Petre @CafeNoir @Cuprajake Modifying that stainless steel part was a quite demanding job but ultimately it turned out quite nice.
CafeNoir Petre looking good, from the pics a nice clean and tidy job. I’m still waiting on mine from China….heigh ho!!!
Sham Petre I like the big funnel but the only problem I have is that it’s just so damn big! The Mazzer is bloody massive already without the big funnel. My next mini project might be to make a smaller funnel with aluminium, like that one but squished and smaller.
CafeNoir Sham lol, yes, but iirc it’s almost exactly the same size as the stock funnel on the Major, if not slightly smaller in diameter. But truly, if you can source something smaller and not fugly, please share because it would be awesome
simonc Current setup for V60 (it’s not usually this neat) with a large space waiting to be filled by the Minima on Wednesday. Baratza gear single dose funnel on the Vario but looking at eBay options now that have bellows. A good up and down on the lid though has much the same effect and means it fits under lower shelves but bellows would be easier
Otaibimn Hello All, Still a work in progress but getting there. For the bullet I use a cloudline 6in fan to get out the window:
