giampiero Yes, me too i was “surprised” about the warm up time, but i’m a bit concerned about his temperature devices method of use.
denopa Long time lurker, first time poster… Good news, it’s here: Bad news, it’s a birthday gift, and I’m still two months away from it ! Can’t even open the box to read Dave’s manual !
Del_UK denopa Good choice there! @Emc2 uploaded a version of it recently in another post, https://www.dropbox.com/s/capdgwigclnrji8/Lelit%20bianca.pdf?dl=0 That is, if you want spoilers 🙃 Check out some of Dave C’s videos on the different flow control methods, they really helped me get to grips and have an idea of where to start at least.
KyleT dutchy101 it’s funny how people like different things, I think e61 stainless steel machines are ugly and genuinely the new painted Biancas are the only machines to make me consider an e61 machine.
coffeealex Apologies for not posting for some time. Had busy work issues. Thought it would be opportune to give forum members an update on my lelit Bianca 3 purchased six months ago. I have religiously been using zero water with appropriate potassium bicarbonate. I did a service a few days ago running puly through it. Other times flushed every time but just water. Was surprised but pleased to see the plating on the chrome mushroom still looking like new, 6 months on. Must be doing something right? What do you think?

DavecUK coffeealex I think Lelit changed to a stainless steel mushroom some time ago…but I could be wrong 😁
coffeealex Im quite sure its chrome as this was one of my concerns when deciding this or the profitec at the time. Lemondixon had an issue earlier in the thread with his (below). Don’t know if they then changed to SS later Lemondixon Unfortunately it doesn’t. It’s a brass mushroom valve (on the inside at least) with a chrome plate finish. I know this as on mine the chrome plating started to blister and come away after only 6-8 weeks from new
coffeealex DavecUK Do you know when they changed? Noticed that on BB they sell a SS replacement but looks quite different to mine BB mushroom Mine has a line in the middle. Maybe they changed after I bought mine?
DavecUK coffeealex I don’t, I just remember Mauro saying to me they were changing to stainless steel. Yours doesn’t look chromed. The surface finish looks more like fine machined stainless to me?
coffeealex DavecUK Thanks. Maybe I just got very lucky when I bought mine. Any way still pleased with the overall condition of the machine after 6 months which to me proves that the number 1 requisite re maintenance is to stop problems occuring in the 1st place. Appropriate filtered water is that requisite, followed by appropriate flushing, cleaning and lubricating.
DavecUK coffeealex poor quality water is a huge factor in machine reliability. I’ve been using RO water from an Osmio Zero for many many years in my machines and I never get a problem related to water..
coffeealex DavecUK Can I just ask do you use RO water from the OZ in a pure unmineralised way, then mineralise to your own recipe?
DavecUK coffeealex Can I just ask do you use RO water from the OZ in a pure unmineralised way, then mineralise to your own recipe? I don’t bother, but you can…yes. Often people add a touch of bicarb.
MediumRoastSteam DavecUK DavecUK - but you use the remineralisation cartridge rather than the blank cartridge, right?
DavecUK [unknown] but you use the remineralisation cartridge rather than the blank cartridge, right? I do, but it probably ran out years ago?
denopa Finally opened the box today - what a beauty! Made a first couple of cups, surprisingly easy to get really good coffee… the paddle is very intuitive. A quick question that I could not answer from the manual: what does the E mean on the LCC please ?
