@"RobertRo101"#p9667 I've been using the V3 for almost a year now…low flow works well. Especially good if you don't want to move the paddle..It was one of my favourite new things on Bianca. For the upgrade you would need a new LCC, some wiring and the additional solenoid with a slight plumbing change.

The Bianca Review is a version 1, so quite old now. I may well update it…essentially the machine is unchanged except for the addition of the new features. I may have a few extra features the production version doesn't have, and my solenoid is slightly different (they are sending me a replacement, if I get any problems with mine)… I was originally sent it to try it and see if there were any problems…which there were not…it wall worked very well. I don't think I have a manual, but I will download the production manual as my version a year ago has something else I won't mention, until I find out if it was in the production version. I suspect my software might not be exactly the same version, but again until you guys by one and if the software version is on the back of the LCC I won't know…plus mine could still have been a reflashed LCC. I have to be very careful when commenting on pre production stuff so early in the chain. Really like the version 3 though, as compared to the version 1, lots of features were new….and I do need to update my version 1 to a version 2.

This is why, despite my recent challenges, I really love the Bianca (and Lelit). I have been toying with updating to LCC 2. I may hang fire and update to LCC v3 though, with my new found boldness for tinkering with the machine 😉

The Low flow used in conjunction with PI seems to be a good combination. Dave, have you been using just the low flow or do you always use the PI with it ?

Really great feature. It basically mirrors the profile I use 99% of the time so it’s handy to be able to automate it. It’s also really awesome to see Lelit iterating on what is already a fantastic machine. It’s impressive how quickly the group head pressure changes when the low flow kicks in.

Its a good option, not sure id rip my machine apart for it, but its a good out the box incentive to buy the v3 over a competitor

there will hopefully be some other upgrades that the new LCC bring that are worthwhile.

MediumRoastSteam I think they are cool too. If I am rich enough to not have to care about cost of living, I would probably open a cafe with lever machines. Good way to become a millionaire if you are already a multi-millionaire.

But back to Lelit Bianca - I have been sending people from facebook groups to this forum. Hopefully Dave and other owners here will be able to help them.

Finally pulled the trigger, I decided to buy a demo Bianca v3 with “some scratches” with €400 off (yeah I’m cheap), full 2 years warranty. Hopefully it will arrive before my birthday!

Cuprajake have you changed the shower screen of your Bianca? If yes any benefit you can see? I don’t care about better extraction etc., but maybe cleaner/easier to clean?

Cuprajake if you pass the max pressure that the drain valve spring can support, this happen, but usually a drain valve spring should keep closed the drain valve until around 12 bars, and in the video of the portakeeper is visible the group head gauge needle seems in a high pressure value.

Obviously not a problem of the machine.

Cuprajake There is the odd drop, but very little, it will have no effect on the shot. What pressure were you using?

Also worth remembering that the preinfusion valve is designed to open at 4 bar, sure they put a stronger spring in, but:

the valve never needed to seal at up to 12.5 bar like the vent valve
I doubt they used a 13 bar spring
there could be crud on the valve seat.

I thought the Bianca had that part of the group completely removed? Maybe I’m wrong.

MediumRoastSteam not removed but I think they put a stronger spring which essentially disable the water line pressure pre infusion? the valve opens at 2.5 bar with the standard e61 and bianca has like 4 bar spring.

its always done it, the pump is set to 9.5 bars it will shot 10bars at the puck, but most times im grinding for a low bar shot
