I brought my set up to the office yesterday to make coffee for my colleagues. Due to size and weight I had to choose Elizabeth instead of Bianca (almost 2.5 times heavier, not to mention possible risk of scratches 🤣) my Elizabeth managed to handle it, but only then I realize how much “nicer” it feels to use with Bianca. I had been questioning myself about the purchase, but no more. Bianca is here to stay

New Bianca v3 owner, coming from a Minima where I’d leave it on all day but with steam boiler off and only turn on when required. A smart plug turned whole thing on and off.
As it’s more fiddly to turn the steam boiler off, am I better using the standby mode and accepting waiting for it to reheat when shot required as I do need to steam?
If I disable standby and have steam boiler on for 8 hours a day do I risk scaling? I use a zero jug and just some bicarb.

No..but don’t do it anyway.

MediumRoastSteam there’s a big switch on the minima for the steam boiler. Steam milk, flick switch off. No clicking through a little digital screen.

Hold the minus button for 3 seconds and that turns the service boiler on and off, as far as I know.

MediumRoastSteam I presume I use the steam pressure gauge to know that the steam boiler has got up to temp/pressure as the current steam temperature isn’t show.

For me it was quick enough to warm up not to need to leave it on all day, esp if you add a WiFi plug 👍👍 saves electricity too

Disclaimer: I don’t have a Bianca, and I am assuming the LCC functionality is similar to the Elizabeth’s. I also read on HomeBarista that the “hold the minus button for 3 seconds” works for the Bianca.
