MediumRoastSteam simonc No clicking through a little digital screen. Hold the minus button for 3 seconds and that turns the service boiler on and off, as far as I know.
Waitforme MediumRoastSteam Must try that on the V2 this morning, it’ll be easier than clicking through the menu.
Rob1 simonc If I disable standby and have steam boiler on for 8 hours a day do I risk scaling? I use a zero jug and just some bicarb. No..but don’t do it anyway.
DavecUK simonc ah. Joy of a minimal manual. BB no longer providing Dave’s extended manual The hours that went into my extended manuals, just not willing to do it now.
MediumRoastSteam simonc - yeah. The manual is quite basic. I don’t know why they don’t state such a useful shortcut.
simonc MediumRoastSteam I presume I use the steam pressure gauge to know that the steam boiler has got up to temp/pressure as the current steam temperature isn’t show.
MediumRoastSteam simonc as the current steam temperature isn’t show. Or you can press the + button once to show the actual temp, and again to show the steam boiler temp. 👍
Cuprajake For me it was quick enough to warm up not to need to leave it on all day, esp if you add a WiFi plug 👍👍 saves electricity too
MediumRoastSteam Disclaimer: I don’t have a Bianca, and I am assuming the LCC functionality is similar to the Elizabeth’s. I also read on HomeBarista that the “hold the minus button for 3 seconds” works for the Bianca.
Waitforme MediumRoastSteam Tried it this morning, works on the Bianca V2. 3 years of prodding through the menu no more , thanks. 👍
MediumRoastSteam Waitforme Nearly, you talked me into a Bianca 😂 3 years on and you are still with the machine. I must have done something right :-)
