simonc MediumRoastSteam there’s a big switch on the minima for the steam boiler. Steam milk, flick switch off. No clicking through a little digital screen.
MediumRoastSteam simonc No clicking through a little digital screen. Hold the minus button for 3 seconds and that turns the service boiler on and off, as far as I know.
Waitforme MediumRoastSteam Must try that on the V2 this morning, it’ll be easier than clicking through the menu.
Rob1 simonc If I disable standby and have steam boiler on for 8 hours a day do I risk scaling? I use a zero jug and just some bicarb. No..but don’t do it anyway.
DavecUK simonc ah. Joy of a minimal manual. BB no longer providing Dave’s extended manual The hours that went into my extended manuals, just not willing to do it now.
MediumRoastSteam simonc - yeah. The manual is quite basic. I don’t know why they don’t state such a useful shortcut.
simonc MediumRoastSteam I presume I use the steam pressure gauge to know that the steam boiler has got up to temp/pressure as the current steam temperature isn’t show.
MediumRoastSteam simonc as the current steam temperature isn’t show. Or you can press the + button once to show the actual temp, and again to show the steam boiler temp. 👍
Cuprajake For me it was quick enough to warm up not to need to leave it on all day, esp if you add a WiFi plug 👍👍 saves electricity too
MediumRoastSteam Disclaimer: I don’t have a Bianca, and I am assuming the LCC functionality is similar to the Elizabeth’s. I also read on HomeBarista that the “hold the minus button for 3 seconds” works for the Bianca.
Waitforme MediumRoastSteam Tried it this morning, works on the Bianca V2. 3 years of prodding through the menu no more , thanks. 👍
MediumRoastSteam Waitforme Nearly, you talked me into a Bianca 😂 3 years on and you are still with the machine. I must have done something right :-)
delta76 My Bianca has been dripping quite a lot through this What should be the main culprit in this case? I think most people has dripping issues with the vacuum breaker, but not this @DavecUK - thanks in advance
DavecUK delta76 What should be the main culprit in this case? I think most people has dripping issues with the vacuum breaker, but not this @DavecUK - thanks in advance When did you last backflush with cleaner and did you do it properly as per my videos (morning coffee playlist) how old is the machine The culprit is the lower vent valve, the reason is as yet uncertain.
delta76 DavecUK it started a month ago and I did a backflush with puly caff about 2 weeks ago but it does not change. I think I did it properly - been doing it quite a lot of times so not quite sure if I can do something wrong the machine is less than 2y old.
