MWJB I’ll probably try 15g/20s after some more brews at 25g/30s.
Got new water today and tried 25g/30s at 26, first three in the middle. Highest EY I’ve logged with this paper at 20.96%. I don’t know how long the DI water had stuff in it or how it may have affected the numbers. We’ll see if it stays there or this was a high one. I even measured twice to verify.
This morning I had a go at 24 clicks and 40g/40s. Things seems to get worse going finer.
Still lots of acidity, but my bags usually has a lot of that so it’s difficult to say how much it naturally has. Regardless of flavors, the brew was objectively better with fewer malfunctions. Next time I’m buying beans I’ll get half of them with less acidic notes for more varied beans to compare with.
In a different topic where you compared four different grinders, you mentioned with regards to the X25:
As with the Wilfa, steps are quite large with a profound impact on brews, 20 made for chewy brews, 22 under & watery
Do you think it would be worthwhile buying the Red Clix to halve the change in each step, perhaps making it easier to tune in?
I could say this with every post, but thank you so much for all the help. Your insight and feedback is invaluable.
