dutchy101 Did you get this code off email? I don’t remember seeing anything in my email.

Enjoy your bags. Will be interested in hearing how you got on!

I still have 150g of Ana, which I have parked exclusively for brews now; another 500g of Kisinga, which is a decent / standard coffee. Not like Ana. Some body said Chelbesa is awesome and Kisinga can’t even get closer.

In any case, I won’t buy from them for one simple reason. They lacked the basic courtesy of replying to my emails about three times, let alone a sorry note. May be, they don’t care or too busy to reply. 😁

Shame though, they are one of the good roasters, whose descriptions of notes match the cup! 😊

Yes it came by e-mail. I know from comms I’ve received from them recently that they recently moved their roastery (I think to Manchester) and this happened over the last month / 6 weeks if I recall correctly - not excusing them not replying to your e-mails, but they’ve been busy from what I can tell.

The code came with an e-mail saying they’ve had some issues with their roaster, which is being repaired so they can’t roast anything until tomorrow - so they’re still ironing out a few issues.

The price per kilo of their beans is very good - with free shipping and 30% off it gets even better. I’ve now got 3.5 kilos of beans - good job my parents have a chest freezer.

dutchy101 30% off is a great deal. Enjoy, but please don’t forget to share your thoughts.

Another gentle nudge elicited a reply this noon. They were sorry for not replying.

I am still not going to buy. There isn’t anything that seriously interest me at the moment. I have 1.5 KGs of decaf and 1.5 KGs of standard coffee beans at the moment. Am not in a hurry.

If any one is interested in the following:

      • The Kisinga cup score is 86.
      • I had looked at their new crops - Timor and China — earlier. They do not seem to have a formal cupping score at the moment.

The Kanya looked right up my street. Hopefully it doesn’t disappoint

Thought I’d jump on the bandwagon & ordered a kilo of Kanya & a wee bag of Green Land to bump me over the free postage threshold

        14 days later

Received a message from Django with another 30% code:

        Django Update

The last three weeks have been the most difficult of the six years of Django Coffee. The new roaster was delayed by three months which meant relocating and getting acclimatised to the new roaster all happened at the same time.

The first few batches on the new machine came out slightly darker than we would have liked, leaning towards an espresso roast rather than our usual omniroast. This was caused by the airflow settings not translating over from the smaller machine but we have rectified the issue and are now roasting back to our usual profiles.

We knew that we would encounter some issues and are now happily roasting fruity and funky beans.

Over the last few months we have had many requests for decaf and so we are happy to announce that we will now always have decaf available on the website, The first is a mountain water decaf from Mexico, our first coffee from Mexico.

There is also another 30% discount running until midnight on Sunday the 10thg of July. The code can be found below.

Thanks for your understanding, support and being part of the Django community.

        Ste

PS. The new roaster is called Anna.

Here’s 30% off all coffee and subscriptions while you wait

        #Anna30

Very good deal again. I have 3.5 KGs of standard coffee and about 1.25 KGs of decaf. So regretfully, I will pass. Thx for sharing.

Yep. I’ve just ordered a kilo from Smith Street (half a kilo of decaf and 2 × 250g bags). I’ve already got 3 kilos in the freezer. I’m actually quite tempted by the Django Brazil offering Rancho Grande but need to just say no.

No - unfortunately not. I ordered as I needed some decaf for my wife. I usually go for Extract Sugarcane, but that can get a tad expensive without a code. I saw some favourable reviews of the Smith St. Five Arches decaf on here and thought I’d give it a go. A kilo comes to £22.50 and it was free delivery for over £25, so I decided to go for half a kilo of the decaf and then give the Don and the White Peak a go.

dutchy101 Five Arches decaf is very good. First time drinking it as I post. You need at least 3 weeks rest; @dfk41 recommended this decaf.

Their Burundi and Mexican decaf are interesting!

              LMSC @dfk41 recommended this decaf.

Yes. He also put me onto the Extract Sugarcane so when I read his recommendation for the Five Arches I thought I’d give it a go

LMSC is it all sold out? Can’t seems to find it on the website.
