CoffeetimePals:

Love my Elizabeth. But every machine can have its issues. Today I was adjusting my OPV and had the top off the machine. That went well. But, when I fired up the machine I could see and hear a small leak coming from the steam boiler. The small leak is at the 18 mm nut where it joins the boiler, and not where the sensor joins the nut. It is where the blue wire is attached. Not sure what sensor that is. In any event, the machine is 4 months old, and I really do not want to send it back to Clive Coffee, since that requires packing and shipping it. Seems like an easy repair for me, but just want advice on how to do it. You can see just some slight residue on the boiler from the leak if you look carefully at the photo. This is probably why my pump cycles on for a few seconds every few hours. So the leak is really small, but should not be there.

My understanding is that’s the level fill sensor. It should as simple as tightening it very gently to stop the leak.

There’s a video on Lelit insider on how to replace the level sensor. Take a look there as it would give you an idea.

If not, then I think you can remove the nut, wrap a few turns of PTFE around and then refit. But it’s best for Dave to confirm. 👍

edit: found the video. PTFE is your friend indeed. 👍

OK, that looks simple. First I will try with the 19 and some leverage to see if it just seals it. If not, looks like a few wraps of teflon tape will do it. OK, simple.
