tompoland Similar idea to the Nitro but using sound waves (“harmonics” is the word the manufacturers use) to extract the coffee. Works incredibly well. YouTube video shot around 3 months ago…
hthec tompoland Don’t tell me you have this too! It’s on my wishlist, but will probably always remain no more than a wishlist item
hthec Del_UK would recommend. started out as a tiktok trend, turns out it’s not a bad one. I have a couple of huge crystal mugs I use for this. Looks really impressive when served to friends. great fun! Add sugar to taste
LMSC We follow a couple of methods to make cold brews Classic espresso on the rock. Tip either cold Osmio Zero water or Oat milk, if demanded. My family prefers it with milk As above but whisk it in a blender or mixer. I prefer a whisked cold coffee.
dfk41 Del_UK Well, I tried! I used your measurements exactly and luckily enough had a suitable glass. I used a bean that I found in the back of the cupboard. It was roasted before Xmas then vacuum packed. It was abundant with blueberry but not quite so much now! Tomorrow I will try it with something darker and fresher! I have just realised that my son has an Oxo Good Grips cold brewer so he can make the brew up for me. With fathers Day fast approaching I might get my two sons to buy me the Vevor Nitro maker and have a bash!
LMSC This is what I had come up with ….decaf 16.2g : 34.8g liquid : 60 ml milk for my wife! Steamed for 7-8s. Of course, plenty of crushed ice into the pitcher before steaming.
cjbailey1 Del_UK Well my first attempt! Annoyingly my shot wasn’t the best as it was my first pull on new beans and it came through a little quicker than I’d like, but it was still tasty. I think I may try 60:30 milk:water for the next one. Thank you for the suggestion! Ps. Excuse the total mess in the background.
Doram MediumRoastSteam Tried it today…. Surprisingly good! Made this back in February, but found that it looks better than it tastes. Maybe it was also the wrong season? :)
Alpesh Surprisingly it tasted better than I was expecting especially when I mostly drink milk-based coffee’s.
Del_UK Looking good! I’m not a huge cold coffee drinker but this method is now my default. It requires no additional kit and doesn’t require waiting 24 hours to find out the grind was too fine/course!
