Pompeyexile Got to admit I love a kitchen gadget and we have had an air fryer (Cosori) for just over a year and it is brilliant. The only thing with them is because they are so small the vortex created by the fan makes it difficult to cook anything with a batter like consistency. I tried a quiche and it turned out looking like a volcano. Still tasted good though.
Systemic This was my third attempt. Only slightly tricky bit is deciding how long to simmer the begels in alkalised water to get the desired amount of chewiness.
Pompeyexile Pompeyexile Just looked at Richard’s recipe and he is cooking his in a Gozney Dome oven at 200C for about 40 minutes. That seems very high, so just out of interest what, assuming you used a normal oven, temp did you cook at and for how long?
Systemic It’s Bertinet recipe and simple to make. It should have had a glass of Calvados in it but I made it for my son to take into work for a group breakfast and thought it best to leave it out. Will make it again and add the Calvados.
Pompeyexile One pot rice with celery, onion, mushroom and baby plum tomatoes seasoned with home-made rosemary salt, cooked in ham stock, topped with grilled BBQ rub belly pork. Simple but tasty.
Platypus Biscotti Millionaires Shortbread These should come with a health warning but to be ignored as absolutely delicious 😋
Pompeyexile Baby sourdough… Should have cut it a little deeper and would have gotten a bigger ear. But it will still taste good. As my Iron Challenger Bread Pan will not fit into my electric counter top combi-oven and I did not want to use my gas oven I used my cast iron casserole dish I got years ago from Sainsbury’s. YouTube’s Foodgeek’s basic sourdough recipe and technique always works a treat.
profesor_historia My god, all looks sooo delicious, if I were a woman I would marry several people here right now!!hahahaha
