    Well we made our choice and decided to stay with BT. It may not be the cheapest deal available, but we have been happy with BT up till now. I might also change my mobile over where I can get 8gb data unlimited texts and calls for £8 a month and 20% discount on another phone, so could move the wife over if the Bt/ EE network is ok.

      the next thing is the tv finishes on the 11th, now with sky you can use the dish for free sat, mines sky q, there are 4 types of lnb, now only 1 poss 2 are compatible, the other 2 you have to replace, whats betting i need to replace

        Cuprajake a friend has one and some subscription. Seems the only thing missing is the ability to record.other than that,everything is there,every channel,film,series etc

                Cuprajake I dumped sky 26 years ago, realised I was paying for nothing much. I didn’t have movie packagages. Sky was something I didn’t miss at all .. surprised it’s still going.

                        Sports direct staff from what I have been told are paid the bare minimum, with zero hour contracts and they are treated pretty badly by the company. I’m not surprised they don’t put much effort in, company that don’t help their staff aren’t going to get good work ethic from employees

                        I never had Sky. In fact, I never subscribed to any TV service. I can’t see the point, unless you watch a lot of TV. For the few hours a week I watch TV, it’s totally wasted on me. Only recently (pre lockdown) I subscribed to Netflix, and I see to watch some of the series. But even then, if I needed to save £130 over one year, I’ll drop the subscription today and I wouldn’t miss it. Same with regards to Amazon Prime - it auto-renewed automatically and I didn’t notice, so must remember not to renew for the next term. Waste of money I think these days - it was convenient during the pandemic.

                        I have it. Bought it on a deal a while back because my TV is quite old and the “smart” features are non-existent. It works well. I have a Chromecast too which I bought many, many years ago (like, 10 years ago maybe, if not more?). It was pretty dumb in the sense that it has no built-in apps as such like the Amazon Fire Stick - all you can do is cast to it. But I think that has changed now, although I’m not sure.
