Agree customer service is barely existent in a lot of places.

I mentioned this before but last year my Dad and I walked into the local Triumph dealership, both ready to buy a bike with cash. Walked around for a good half hour, Saturday afternoon, literally not a sole asked if we would like some help. We walked out and shopped at West London which was an hour away but infinitely better.

Friend of mine went to look at a house, the estate agent goes in, takes her shoes off, reclines on the sofa and says ‘feel free to have a look round’… needless to say it sold regardless the same day.

Last week I was in the Post Office, queue is out the door, I’m a good six or seven people back with 2 behind the counter. One gets up, closes the counter and says ’Ok I’m going for lunch then’… I don’t know if I felt worse for the queue of people or the poor assistant left alone to deal with the rest of the lunchtime rush. I get that people need to eat, but plan the breaks…that Post Office is completely empty for much of the morning and afternoon!

Recycling day in our street is always pretty comical. It’s weird, I see a big van with the containers in the back but I don’t know what goes in there because clearly the right place for the recycling is just all over the road and pavements.

I’ve just never understood the lack of care people put into their job. If I took the same approach to mine I’d be fully expecting to look for a new job pretty sharpish!

Also repeating the in-car phone use… still see it, every single day. Queue of cars at the lights, 50% of the drivers on their phones. PUT THEM AWAY! Drives me mad. So unbelievably stupid and selfish. I saw an article about cameras catching people doing it and they can’t come soon enough.
