I haven’t seen any definitive conclusion regarding the initial outflow of water from the steam tap, and thus I’m not sure what to include in the FAQ…
My recollection is that the no-burn wands as well as the extended piping in the case of the Vostok arms all contribute (the La Marzocco GS3, which has similar arms, is also said to have very wet steam initially).
Switching to short arms (as in the Vesuvius version) or to ‘burn wands’ (as in the Minima version) should help, as would waiting for the entire machine to warm up. Short of this, one has to ‘clear the pipes’ and collect the water in a container/jug as a first step before steaming milk.
More feedback from other Evo Leva owners, especially those who have owned other machines before, would help settle this matter.
