It isn’t fair - you can’t expect someone who likes Guinness and coffee to easily ignore that, can you?

Saw it for the first time in the supermarket and thought: this is a trap that I should avoid. I was looking for an excuse not to walk right into it. “If it has any sweeteners or sugar,” I thought, “I am not getting it.” But I couldn’t find an ingredient list. Then I thought: “I will only get it if it has the nitrogen widget inside.” I turned the 4-pack up-side-down and heard the little plastic balls rattling inside: Guinness one, me zero.

So how was it? Surprisingly not as bad as I though it could be. It did taste of both Guinness and coffee. Chocolate hints as well, some sweetness but not too much. It was a bit weird, but not unpleasant. Might be that I even enjoyed it, but I only had one so not sure about that yet.

Did anyone else try it? What did you think?

JahLaza here’s a link to the official site with ingredients/lots of info. Was it properly chilled before you drank it?

Thanks for the link. No sugar or sweeteners then. All sweetness from the malt, very good.

And it was in the freezer for a good 45 minutes before drinking. What do you think I am, an animal? 🐒

Doram haha! I too, like both!! It’s always important that the cans are at the right temp. for fraught Guinness so I imagine equally so for this (in the fridge for at least 12 hours)

Hmmm, I wonder if it would work well in a Guinness chocolate cake?
