dfk41 I know that this is a subjective question! I am looking for a nice milk jug or jugs. One needs to be 300 mls and one say 500 mls. They have to match! Can folks offer up suggestions please. No real criteria but I have had copies from Aliexpress and the like and would like something ‘nice’ for a change!
LMSC dfk41 Hope this helps! It may be cheaper to buy 350 ml and 600 ml. For example, Dailyart Milk Jug, 350ml/12 fl.oz 304 Stainless Steel Milk Cup Milk Frothing Pitcher Milk Pitcher for Making Latte Coffee art, Cappuccino https://amzn.eu/d/bnZP896
dfk41 LMSC Cheers matey. I am going to wait and see what folks suggest. I have had Motta. before and agree they are well made and perform. I do not do latte art as I am autistic rather than artistic!
dutchy101 Dave from @BlackCatCoffee kindly sent me this Motta 500ml jug with my Minima when I bought it. I think it’s a great jug and comes in various sizes: https://www.blackcatcoffee.co.uk/collections/accessories/products/copy-of-aeropress-filter-papers-x-351?variant=31494700433475
Ernie1 Another vote for the Motta jugs. I use the 350ml one and it’s great. Feels heavier than others I’ve tried and I like the wider spout.
PortafilterProcrastinator Nisbetts sell ‘mortar style/ shape’ jugs at good prices, especially if you aren’t a latte art master. I’ve got a smaller one and really like it. https://www.nisbets.co.uk/barista-latte-art-milk-jug-350ml/cl026
Pompeyexile Like many I’ve also got two Motta jugs 300 and 500ml Good quality, look nice and perform well. Although like you dfk41 when it comes to latte art, with me it is denfintely a case of a bad workman not his tools.
SurreyAlan 350 and 600, never used them myself, whatever I use I never seem to get microfoam. I have bought a few things from Rinaldo’s and everything has arrived. https://rinscoffee.com/collections/accessories/products/rhinoware-pro-milk-jug-select-size
Ernie1 dfk41 The only reason I ask is that I’ve found the coating on the coloured Motta ones seems to love stains, whereas the chrome is much easier to keep clean and looking nice next to your machine.
dfk41 Since folks seem to recommend the Motta jugs, is there a difference between them and the copies which are around a tenner cheaper? I am not interested in saving a tenner btw, but the few times I have used Aliexpress for jugs, they have been ok
