All you good folks who have invested hundreds, even thousands of pounds, in the pursuit of the very best that the coffee industry has to offer must be devastated this morning as Aldi present to us the Ambiano Espresso Maker for only £29.99. I’m off for a cup of tea and a lie down! 😢 😢

    Lidl are also doing an espresso machine in special buys next week. £49.99 with “powerful 15 bar pump pressure”. It has a steam wand too. It is a horrible mint green/duck egg blue colour which will complement nobody’s kitchen.

          Hoffman did a review of under £100 machine a year ago.

          Beverast that’s the one! Definitely duck egg, or aqua, not turquoise. I wouldn’t be surprised if they also did a pale pink one too as most of the lidl/Aldi kitchen gear comes in pastel shades - very mid-eighties.

            Seems that Lidl have beaten Aldi on the pressure front..!

            I’d love to try one just to see what the coffee is like out of it.

            I’d certainly hope it was awful !
