Latest is that the warranty is extended to cover burr swapping. Essentially, it says that the warranty is not voided unless the new burr caused the issue. Fair enough.
To me this Is a sensible approach and hopefully others such as Timemore and Niche will follow.

As we mentioned previously, burr swapping requires certain techniques and experience. Instances where grinders fail to function properly due to user-attempted burr swapping do exist. Consequently, many grinder companies include a clause in their warranty policy stating that self-attempts to swap burrs will render the warranty invalid.
However, fueled by your passion and unwavering support, we are thrilled to announce that we are making a difference. We understand the coffee lovers’ desire for greater customization and experimentation, and we are proud to inform you that we have revised our warranty policy to cater to your needs. This is a groundbreaking moment for us, as we prioritize your satisfaction above all else.
Here’s the exciting update to our warranty policy:
The warranty does not cover any damage or malfunction resulting from burr swapping, such as screw missing or stripped, burr damage, calibration issues, etc. However, defects in other parts unrelated to burr replacement and adjustment will still be covered by the warranty.
That being said, even if issues arise concurrently from burr replacement and other factors, we will address each problem separately. For instance, if replacing the burr on your own results in a machine calibration problem, and simultaneously, there is a malfunction in the electronic scale, we will not cover the calibration issue under warranty. However, we will still provide warranty service for the malfunction in the electronic scale.
