There were retailers listing the Philos before it was released for ridiculously inflated prices and an estimated delivery date.
My suspicion at the time (and it was only a suspicion) was that they were buying them at retail price from Mazzer and then attempting to sell them for a profit.
Mazzer selling directly is still relatively new thing, a lot of people don’t realise you can do so, which probably gave the retailers the opportunity to do the above.
The Mini is going to be sold directly too so there’s obviously a shift in retail strategy which is great, because historically you could only really get Mazzer grinders from a limited number of commercial equipment sellers.
