Anyone got a melodrip dropper hanging around in a drawer that they wish to sell on?
Melodrip dripper
- Edited
I use a steel can strainer, less then £5, fits V60 02, Kalita Wave 185 & small Clever Dripper.
It doesn’t need holding in place, so is hands free.
For all but the Kalita Wave, I start off pouring directly on the bed for the first third of brew water, then via the strainer (all via the strainer for the Wave). This means for V60 02 you have to balance the strainer on your scales/brewer so your weights aren’t thrown off when you add it to the process.
There is also the Hario Drip Assist 02 as an alternative, this can stay on the brewer throughout, as it has 2 pour rates depending on the centre or the outer ring being used. Again, also fits Kalita Wave 185 & small Clever Dripper.
Thanks for the help. Any idea if it’ll fit on an orea v3 (large) and the fellow ode brewer - these are the two I usually use
Just to throw another one in there, I like the Gabi A brewer because it’s even more set and forget as you can just pour all the water into the top part and it filters down into the dispersion screen. Or you can be more hands on and do a set number of pours directly onto the screen if you’d prefer, but I usually bring it out when I’m feeling lazy.
I have a Hario drip assist and an Orea V3. The legs of the drip assist, which are meant to sit inside the V60, slide down the outside of the Orea and are very snug, but it fits quite nicely. This brings the actual drip holes quite close to the bed of coffee, so you wouldn’t want to be allowing the Orea to fill up too much. It works fine, but ultimately I decided it’s a waste of time as the Orea is so good anyway.
