dfk41 That’s a bloody good question!

Cuprajake I’m in Lincoln. I’m pretty sure the water in my taps comes directly from a public toilet. 😡

so ro is pushed through a membrane and will leave some tds in the water, the final stage is the di which turns it into pure water the same as distilling,

    its neat/pure

my setup has a meter that shows the input/output of my sytem around 65-70 in and 0 out

Decent De1pro v1.45 - Niche Duo - Niche Zero - Decent is the best machine ever made -

Cuprajake The question is, how does a traditional, installed RO machine compare to a countertop RO machine (which I’ve only just heard about) in terms of purity.

The purity for both is fine if it’s for coffee/coffee machines. Countertop - no plumbing, no leak concerns, no drain routing and produces hot water. Installed, requires drain routing, and if the installation leaks, a lot of water everywhere and doesn’t usually produce hot water (but some can)..

The main difference is filling with water vs not filling, for me filling a 5 litre tank once or twice per day is no biggie.

PianoMan I have the Ozmio 0 which has served me well for 6 years plus but today a Waterdrop arrived. I purchased It from Amazon and I thought I’d give it a try. It’s a bit too early to say yet, how well the water drop works and how convenient it is.

The Waterdrop K19 price was very attractive from amazon. At £269 delivered

DavecUK Fun times. It’s always good to get new gear. I’m increasingly thinking the countertop RO is the way to go. Thanks

When countertop wasn’t available, I had undercounter, but kept a weather eye out for countertop. When it became available, that has always been the recommended way AFAIC

DavecUK I looked and it’s back up to 299, otherwise I’d probably grab one now

Nope. What a rip! I guess that’s the internet saying look at other options. I’d pay more if I got more. Any suggestions?

PianoMan - you could always get prime OR… just suck it up. In the grand scheme of things… What’s £30 these days, specially on something like that over 5 years?

For that price, however, you can buy a ZeroWater jug and enough filters to last you the next 8 years, assuming you use 3 filters a year.
