Aside from using Puly Caff for backflushing and cleaning baskets etc. is it ok / safe to use on other things like a sink tap head i.e. making up a litre solution and letting it soak in it for 15 mins or so?

    I’ve previously used it to clean the bottom of a glass wine decanter plus wine glasses and an aerator and it does a great job on those

        dutchy101 - what are you planning to get rid of? Limescale?

        with regards to chrome…. I don’t think it damages chrome. It’s common practice to soak portafilters in PulyCaf. And those are chrome plated. Did that for 3 years with my Gaggia Classic. 😊 I don’t bother soaking baskets or bottomless portafilters anymore as I clean them up straight away. I did do that once, but it came back as clean as it went in.

          Yeah just limescale really. I’ve got some Puly descaler in the kettle at the moment so could use that solution afterwards, but was just thinking of maybe giving the tap a clean weekly / fortnightly when I do my baskets etc
