Just came in to say I have my EVO for more than 18 months now and cannot be happier with this machine.

I made a detailed unboxing video…..go easy on me, and of course, comments welcome if I said anything incorrect

      But still a massive step

Decided to remove the gear pump and plumb it in

With massive thanks to @NelisB @Abdulaziz for my head pecking.

Bought the bits and started tonight.

Need to buy a pressure regulator as my house is over 6 bars

      But leak free

      Few pics

Cuprajake - nice one Jake! When you have the opportunity, would be great to hear (see what I did there? 🙃) the machine in action, without any sound.

        Sure can’t wait

I’m Still building, atm as I have now way to regulate pressure I’ve had a tap on it, but it stalls the flow so I get a 900second infusion

Regulator to adjust pressure, I’m waiting on a fitting

          No not yet,

I’m still plumbing making sure it works before I commit to an expansive filter system.

It’s not fully plumbed in yet so has been off all day so far 🤬

Cuprajake so has been off all day so far

Gosh you are brave! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 - hope you at least have a V60 or something else?

@boshk In fact, your video gave me the idea to ask ACS to laser etch the unboxing instructions on the lid of the wooden box.

              So it’s working

              Not silent though

              Undecided

Cuprajake - interesting. So that noise is the water entering the group? Or is that the noise of the solenoid or something else?

No that’s the sound of the manifold as water enters the group

So I’ve just finished putting it back to stock.

Luckily it’s super easy to do 😁 just a waste of money and time trying it.

Sorry to bring this up rather late but I saw your post on the easytamp and how you thought the force tamper is better because of that snap at the end. May i ask how did you get the exact size of the base suitable for your evo portafilter for the force tamper? I saw from amazon it is available in 54mm size but not in more exact sizes like 54.4mm which seems to be the size that some have found is perfect.

                  Now back to stock

Pump re installed and all pipe work returned to normal

If anything a great way to learn your machine 😁🤣 if not a little expensive

I am still in the process of doing this.
I have a 58mm The Force for my Bianca (and the incoming Argos).
I think it was Jake who tried a 54mm Force but the inner rim doesn’t fit.
I have bought a second used 58mm Force and will attempt to turn it down to suit when I get my Vostok.
I think there is enough metal, if not it will be a bit more work.
I need to buy some IMS baskets first as that seems to be what all the EVO folks use and they are a slightly different diameter to the stock ones supplied.
                  I’ll let you know how I go.🔧🛠️🤓

Wow do u mean u are going to put the base on a lathe and shave away the excess width? Would a 54mm one be only very slightly smaller and though it may leave a little powder stuck to the tamper, it would still be almost a exact fit?
