    I’ve just paid £45 for 3 fish n chip, and sausage n chips. Then preceded to chuck mine in the bin 🤢🤢🤢 in Wales and it’s not even nice fish.

      Cuprajake Shouldn’t eat the national dish of the North in Wales…you need to eat their local food. Not sure what it is, could be Lava Bread, which is nothing like Lembas Bread. Also Cawl and lastly, I guess Welsh rarebit?

        OMG, that’s a disappointment at that price!! Where are you staying? Yes, Cawl and Laver bread, I guess, but the latter is perhaps best described as an acquired taste!! Hot welsh cakes off the griddle are worth finding if you can, though.

          Yes, we’ve just been camping up in Yorkshire and it is noticeable how expensive things are now. The staycation boom post-Covid has fuelled a lot of it, but the cost of hols at home seems to have rocketed!!

          I think one of the things they always do is heat the milk way too much. I was recently in a position where it was Costa or nothing for a few weeks so I succumbed a few times, I only had one half decent latte and noticed it was the only time the cup wasn’t burning my hand.

            So currently sat stuck in traffic on the way back from Wales

            Decent enough, kids enjoyed it, which is main thing.

            Not had a coffee all week and tbh not missed it one bit 🤷

            Hopefully be home for bed😂

                  I go through stages, like at the moment, when I think I could bin all my gear. Then I think I could easily go back to a Gaggia Classic. Then I think you have taken a 20 year interest and want to bin it? I quite agree with you that if on holiday I would not take any ‘kit for travelling’ as part of being away is to suffer at the hands of doom! I reckon once you are back to normal mode, your usual routine ad enthusiasm will return!

                  We all go through these as a part of our life. I have absolutely loathed coffee for years with occasional sips drawing me further away, although we were traditional filter coffee drinkers. We have spent most of another 15+ years as can’t be bothered years drinking what’s available.

                  We are never desperate / addicted to coffee. We prefer travelling light and do not miss coffee at all. My wife still won’t care if it is made at home or make one from an instant powder. My daughter is same as she will neither invest in a gear nor spend time. I like a good cup of coffee, which I can’t be bothered to go searching elsewhere when it can be made at home. Otherwise, I won’t drink. If the Evo packs, I won’t replace. I will stick to filters - V60 and Clever mostly; French Press occasionally; and Indian filters, if I fancy with milk. 😊

                  Most hobbies wax & wane but making a decision such as this, after returning from holiday and back to the “hum drum” of life, doesn’t seem like a good time to decide to sell your coffee gear.
                  Not to appear like a vulture though, if you did want to move your grinder on I would be very interested!

                    I’ve done that a few years ago. Sold all my gear and went back to the moka pot / filter / aero press and hand grinder. I didn’t enjoy it. Just saying… 😊🤣
