I made myself a scace device using a regular K-type probe and some glue that worked well even under pressure for few weeks now.

A few days ago I started to see water leaks near the multimeter (where the k probe connector ends) but I thought was just me spilling water randomly.

Only to find out that the water was coming through the k probe sleeve as shown in the video!

Now, I actually thought about this when I built the device and tried to seal with glue the part of the probe wire that stays in the portafilter but I did it as an afterthought, I never imagined that water can travel all that distance through such a tight, plastic sleeve, but here it it, my seal failed and that happen.

DavecUK yeah, I made it from a blind basket using jb weld and another rubber glue to fill the basket space. It’s a bit difficult to adjust the flow to what you want and it’s not lab calibrated ofc but other than this it worked fine.

Very clever. Are you taking export orders yet?

Here is one I attempted a few years ago.

I 3D printed the insert to save using so much JB weld

Think the twisted pair thermocouple cable sealed better as I had no leaks but finding a good valve to use as a flow restrictor is a problem, I used a pnumatic restricter/silencer as I thought the needle valve inside would work well but found it very hard to adjust

Pesado make one too. Not crazy money

Decent De1pro v1.45 - Niche Duo - Niche Zero - Decent is the best machine ever made -

Cuprajake still around 400AU if I found the right thing.

ken0062 did you print with PLA and does it withstand the temp without melting/loosing form?

Petre did you print with PLA and does it withstand the temp without melting/loosing form?

Think I used ABS at the time, first attempt was a failure as only used 20% infill and it totally distorted, cant remember if I used something like 50% or solid in the end but that seems to have held up, have not used it for a while as found it hard to adjust the flow, may have another play with it at some time to check the Bianca out as I could regulate the flow better with the paddle on the Bianca this time
