Ended up doing x2 roasts today, both 600 gram batches. First one was a Costa Rican washed geisha - didn’t really go that well as ended up with some tipping and scorching. Charge was at 205 degrees - tried a taste and it still tastes ok, but know that I can do better.
For my second roast (pics above) I took @DavecUK advice and got my charge temperature down a bit to 195 degrees. Second roast is an Argote natural anaerobic. Roasting this several times on the Kaffelogic you have to try to keep this one on the lighter side to try and preserve it’s soft, smooth, almost tea like qualities imo. I think I am happy how this one turned out, and doing a quick cupping reveals the tea-like qualities are still intact along with its notes of jasmine and banana. Nice, mellow and overall quite sweet. I think the body is a little heavier than what I remember I could get from the Kaffelogic, but is still very soft and delicate. So yeah definitely one I will enjoy over the forthcoming days.
