Two things caught my attention re-the duo.
One, I do make a lot of filter on the Duo and switch back and forth at will. Sometimes, daily or a few times a week. I clean thoroughly if I were to swap to filter and stopped the other way around. I do have a sensitive palate and never seen the retention or a lack of it affecting my taste.
Second, unless I clean the filter burrs set, the retention from the chamber is often less than 0.1g. I think even 0.5g won’t impact the taste. I wonder if yours’ has had larger retentions to influence the taste.
