Dusk At least you will be fitter than I am. As I have got older I have become more belt and braces. Getting to old to phaff about. The wife and I discussed it and made a informed decision right or wrong. As the government will not be honest with us.I have tried getting the wife to go cycling but she is not that keen. We have a lovely safe place to cycle near us Dalby forest. We do go for walks there instead.

Which roaster is it?

Coffee Roaster. Home: Sage Dual Boiler, Niche Zero, Ode v2 (SSP), 1zpresso ZP6 Work: Eagle One Prima EXP, mahlkonig e80s, Mazzer Philos and lots more

Dusk We all know that the perfect number of bikes is n+1, where n is the number of currently owned bikes.

Unless one is DaveC, in which case the above applies to the number of coffee machines. 😉

hthec You are welcome to come over and ‘test drive’ either (or both).

Timemore crystal eye flat bottom dripper and a rainbow base for the Orea dripper.

      IMG_7644.jpg

PortafilterProcrastinator I’ve only made one brew with the Timemore but it was just as easy and tasted the same as the Orea using a natural coffee from Uganda.

In terms of looks and design the Timemore is about the same size as the Orea, they can both hold Kalita Wave filters (155 and 185). Both made from plastic but the Orea has a removable base and the Timemore doesn’t. The Timemore has a very eye catching crystal look especially when light shines through it. It also has ridges that I assume can help avoid bypass because the wave filters can sit against them, where as the Orea has flat sides. Saying that, I’ve never had a problem with bypass with wave filters although that is a common complaint.

The bottom of the Timemore has ten triangle shaped holes, the Orea has a hole in the middle and four curved line shape holes. I’ve never had a problem with stalling (common complaint of the metal Kalita), don’t see the Timemore having that problem either.

whinmoor85 Is anyone selling the actual Orea dripper at the moment, they seem to be out of stock everywhere

ken0062 Got mine from Good Coffee Cartel when it was available. The Orea shop was restocked recently but it’s sold out of the dripper again.

Got one of these today. Incredible for £20.

I’m sure it’s going to have other uses too.

-Mac Got one of these today. Incredible for £20.

Did you try it for the intended use? How well did it function? I am wondering, because it has many good reviews but quite a few bad ones as well.

I’ve used it for the intended use and found it fantastic.
