chlorox hi there I have not received the Nurra Leva SA yet. It was scheduled to ship from Italy to Australia at the end of July but that has been pushed back to the end of September now due a part not being delivered ot the Nurri factory in time.

There are others who have received their units and one on this forum in particular offered a lot of comments and of course our illustrious Espresso Leader Extraordinairre @DavecUK has a prototype on his bench.

Early reports are undoubtedly colored via the honeymoon effect but nevertheless positive comments abound. I’ll be sure and post a pic and a comment or two here once she is on my espresso bench. I’m thinking Christmas present from santa?

        I had an early production model, but I returned that months ago, as soon as I finished the engineering review.

        I don’t know how much of what I recommended will be changed, or implemented.

        The same with the GTO, I returned it as soon as the engineering review was completed.

            Cuprajake Sure is. I had an eleven month wait for the Malwani Livi. At least with the Nurri, it was a deposit only required of around 15% with the balance due once it’s on the ship. Many others direct-to-consumer manufacturers require full payment upfront with wait times of many months.

                Yeah I know a guy with a p64 that got pushed back and another with a Weber eg1 who paid in full and got pushed back like 5 months

                    I firmly believe that the more temperature and pressure controllable lever machines there are being sold out there, the better the scene for lever lovers - especially when they use the LSM grouphead. I say this as a long time user of an Izzo Pompei and I would not want to use a modern lever with any other grouphead.

                    The better the nurri is, the more that will spur the Vesuvius Evo to greater heights and the more I hope this will cause espresso enthusiasts to consider the lever rather than boring pump machines, even those as powerful as synessos and gs3, which will in turn cause more machine manufacturers to introduce more advanced lever machines like the nurri and the vesuvius evo - all to our ultimate benefit!

                        Knluk what i read was that Dave was asked by Nurri to give his engineering feedback for the purposes of product improvement and so it is confidential.

                                It uses a rotary pump, in the early machine I tested. You adjust the pump balanced bypass for the preinfusion pressure you want, via a hole in the case. Mine was a very early model, so I could give Antonio some engineering feedback…not for a public review.

                                It might be that in current models it’s different, but I am sure they wouldn’t use a vibration pump?

                                  Thanks Dave. I just asked Antonio on Instagram and he replied within minutes. He confirmed that the production Nurri Leva (at least in the Australian model) uses a rotary pump.

                                  The newest batches will have a new feature whereby the rotary pump is controllable through a dial at the rear of the machine sourcing from a suggestion I made to Antonio. What this means is that it will be much easier and more practical to change the pressure level of the pump during preinfusion than before

                                  Bella Barista no longer seem to stock Nurri.

                                  Whether they have taken it off the list of machines they sell because there are delays in manufacturing/shipping or whether they no longer deal with Nurri I have no idea.

                                    dfk41 I’m not in the market - perfectly happy with the ACS at the moment; it was just an FYI/update note for people researching the machine.

                                      The nurri is still available through dealers in Belgium, Australia and a couple other countries as I understand it. I believe you can also get it directly from nurri for countries not having any dealers.
