For this machine it's one of the first made, and I am doing an Engineering review on it for Antonio (the creator) as a favour, so I can't really comment at this stage. But I can post photos….and say that the Paddle levers on this are very basic beta ones….so that area is still in the design melting pot.

I love the look of these sorts of lever machines, but they really need to at least try to make them a bit more compact in design. They're either lacking in that area of expertise or they don't care… A more compact design would look like a much better centre piece in a kitchen (and take less space in a commercial setting), rather than protruding till the near edge. The size distracts from the elegance of it.

@"Sham"#p10001 I agree when it comes to similar sized Levers that require external plumbing or flojet type arrangement. But the Nurri is dual boiler and plumbing is optional. Still, I agree that it's a lot for a normal kitchen. I like the footprint on the Decent for example.

@"tompoland"#p10007 In that case they should have either decreased tank sizes and utilised quicker water heating technology (I'm sure there's loads of options from other industry's) or started with a more wide design but I guess that would've cost too much R&D time. One way to think of it is that they won't lose customers if its small, but they will lose customers if its too big. It does look pretty nice though.

I prefered the hot water tap even over the Izzo’s cup warmer sitting on a 5L boilder radiating all day. (especially after mum visited, stacked cups on it and next time I opened the cupboard door, knocked them into a million pieces).

Never used the steam jet in the cup tray area either. Too slow compared to boiling water.

I loved that feature. Very clever. Never used it of course, other than to show off with visitors 😀

cyclezib unpacking and setting up for first pour was a doddle. Really, other than putting the portafilter in and screwing on the lever handle, it was pretty much plug n play. The manual is adequate to the point of being helpful but not comprehensive by any means.

Re cups, they seem ready to use when the boiler is up to temp.

That’s the whole thing about the L type - it is so nice and easy to use and every time u look at it, instant dopamine shot as its really easy on the eyes too! I should suggest the L stand for La Dolce Vita inaddition to Leva :)

Interesting…I don’t think my old izzo pompei had such a feature as I have never seen such an upward pointing steam pipe under the tray when I owned it.

Update two days later: I may have misread and misreported above. This morning T3 was still set to 93c but did not go above 91 when warmed up. I reset T3 to 95 and now it heats up to 93c.

DavecUK appear to be insulated. Here’s a side shot.

One of the features I like about the Nurri is how easily the side panels come off. There are 3 white caps which I unscrew by hand and then there’s a a hex nut that threaded externally so the white caps don’t simply push on they screw on. Removing these 3X scews gives easy and fast access to the internals.

tompoland definitely different to the very early machine I looked at. Changing the vacuum breaker would be a PITA though. 🤔

In regard to the cup warmer.

I took one photo looking up from underneath the cup warmer (inside the machine) and another from on top.

If you look carefully at the top view pic you’ll see that there are small vents/holes for heat to escape upwards, on to the cups.
