tompoland cyclezib unpacking and setting up for first pour was a doddle. Really, other than putting the portafilter in and screwing on the lever handle, it was pretty much plug n play. The manual is adequate to the point of being helpful but not comprehensive by any means. Re cups, they seem ready to use when the boiler is up to temp.
chlorox tompoland That’s the whole thing about the L type - it is so nice and easy to use and every time u look at it, instant dopamine shot as its really easy on the eyes too! I should suggest the L stand for La Dolce Vita inaddition to Leva :)
tompoland simonko Never used the steam jet in the cup tray area either. I loved that feature. Very clever. Never used it of course, other than to show off with visitors 😀
simonko tompoland Haha - must admit I actually forgot it about until this topic came up here. All those visitors I could have impressed.
chlorox Interesting…I don’t think my old izzo pompei had such a feature as I have never seen such an upward pointing steam pipe under the tray when I owned it.
CoyoteOldMan chlorox I don’t think my old izzo pompei had such a feature Which is a bit of a shame, considering the name. 😁
chlorox CoyoteOldMan That is an apt point! LOL In fsxt I read somewhere the izzo factory was very near the slopes of the volcano…
CoyoteOldMan chlorox That’s what their website says too. Nowadays they are in Anagni, a good 100 miles away!
tompoland chlorox I can confirm that my machine does not have that issue (not quite getting up to the preset temp on the display). Not this morning at least 🙂 Update two days later: I may have misread and misreported above. This morning T3 was still set to 93c but did not go above 91 when warmed up. I reset T3 to 95 and now it heats up to 93c.
tompoland One of the features I like about the Nurri is how easily the side panels come off. There are 3 white caps which I unscrew by hand and then there’s a a hex nut that threaded externally so the white caps don’t simply push on they screw on. Removing these 3X scews gives easy and fast access to the internals.
CoyoteOldMan tompoland More photos, please! (I’m sure we’ll get more when you publish the ‘90 days’ review, but anything you can post in the meantime will be received with great interest)
DavecUK tompoland definitely different to the very early machine I looked at. Changing the vacuum breaker would be a PITA though. 🤔
tompoland In regard to the cup warmer. I took one photo looking up from underneath the cup warmer (inside the machine) and another from on top. If you look carefully at the top view pic you’ll see that there are small vents/holes for heat to escape upwards, on to the cups.
