Currently my favorite roaster is Verve Coffee in Santa Cruz. I went to grad school at UCSC and have fond memories of my time there. They have a few cafes around the bay area but the actual roaster is in an old cannery and shares the space with Beckmann’s bakery and Pacific Edge rock climbing gym. I spent a lot of time there when I was living down that way so it comes with fond memories.
My favourite roasters. What's yours?

I revisited a bag of Django El Salvador beans today and the espresso was superb, best I’ve pulled in a few weeks.
I don’t know if they are my fav roaster or even if I have one, but for sub £25 a kg delivered the bang per bean is superb.
Only downside is they don’t have a huge selection.
Right now, I am enjoying Smith Street roasters. If you sign up with them, at the start of every month (the offer came today) they send out a deal. This month it is spend £20 and receive 20% off which is quite canny. I have their decaf, Five Arches which is really tasty
dfk41 It’s good to hear about these sorts of deals, I think that’s the advantage of keeping your eyes peeled. There are many people who use a subscription service and tend to miss out on some great deals because they are not looking. Like that great deal on Kg bags from that Scottish roaster some weeks ago now.
LMSC You need to sign up with them, then each month they send you something to consider. I could give you the code but without joining, it will not work
LMSC Pleasure, if you do not get a code with their welcome, email me and I will forward the email I received
Any roasters offering discounts at the moment? I can’t do subscription as I’m usually in France but I’m currently in the UK and I’d like to take a few KGs back with me.

Please check the above thread.
Casuals may still be valid. Crown and Canvas, I reckon, is greens. The Blackcat does a standard Forum15.
Tim Wendelboa and Manhatten have been my favourites this year. I also must give a shout-out to my local, Sweven.
Ernie1 stumptown is good, just not in my current rotation of favorites. I will pickup a bag from time to time. I in San Jose, California - so it is easy for me to get.
I have tried quite a few over the last 6 months and have to say for Lattes and Cappuccino i would say the best so far I have tried is from a local roaster to me called Peaberry. Their Bollywood Espresso blend and Peace and Hope Espresso blend is first class and is now my go to beans for Lattes and cappuccinos
For Espresso I do like Foundry Rocko Mountain and their was one from square mile that was good too. Still searching for my go to Espresso for the mornings
My go to roasters, in no particular order.
Django, Rave, Black Cat, Foundry, Strangers, Curve, Crankhouse, Kiss the Hippo. Mrs brings home a kilo of Soul Blend crowd pleaser from Crazy Goat because she speaks to the guy regularly at work, it’s the only one I’ve tried from them and it’s good, easy drinking and great with milk, despite the fact I only buy SO normally.
mission701 keep meaning to try Assembly for espresso but so far have only used them for pour over (and liked it a lot).
I have Assembly’s SO espresso and their espresso blend in the house at the moment. Both are great!
mission701 Thumbs up for Cartwheel
Ah local to me! (Nottingham)
Does anybody get anything from Stewarts? Or Two Chimps? Both fairly local as well.
I like lighter roasted coffees. I get disappointed easily, but these are my usual go to roasters :
Curve based in Margate: https://www.curveroasters.co.uk
Sweven based in Bristol: https://www.swevencoffee.co.uk
The Source based in Edinburgh: https://www.thesourcecoffee.co.uk (even though they are crazy expensive)
Harmony based in York: https://www.harmonycoffee.co.uk
FCP based in Bristol: https://www.fcp.coffee
and Kiss The Hippo in London: https://kissthehippo.com
All really great. I also like Obadiah, Vibe with and Newground, but I wish they made an option to get the coffee without the box. Idk the extra packaging just seems kinda wasteful to me, but the coffee is really nice. Crankhouse is also great
Really been enjoying Dak and A Matter of Concrete recently
